Knight was rescued from a high-kill shelter after he found himself there after his owner passed away. He is estimated to be between 8-10 years old, but his age isn't holding him back! He is a LOVER, he loves attention and affection from his humans. He was seen by our vet and has no known or apparent health issues. He did well on his large and small dog meets at the shelter and we will test him as well once he settles in. He seemed too interested in cats to be placed with them. He is current on vaccines and is micro-chipped. Knight deserves a forever home to live out his golden years. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application.
"Diamonds in a Ruff Rescue" is a foster-based, all-breed, no-kill animal rescue based in Philadelphia, PA that offers rescue and sanctuary to animals in need. We do not have a physical shelter you can visit - all of our animals are housed in foster homes. We are made up of volunteers and foster homes that care for and socialize our animals. Most of our animals have been rescued from "death row" from high-kill shelters and given a second chance at life. Our goal is to offer each and every one of these animals a safe, permanent and loving home. We also offer people the ability to surrender their dogs to us instead of surrendering their pet to a high-kill shelter if they can no longer take care of them. Please help us to give each of these animals the life they deserve.
Our Adoption Process...
You will be asked to fill out an adoption application giving us information about yourself, your family and your experience with pets. You will need to provide a vet reference and multiple personal references. Our goal is to find our animals the best possible home. Our adoption fee is $375 for dogs under 1 year old and $250 for dogs 1 year and older. The adoption fee includes a wellness exam, all age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing when age appropriate, heartworm treatment if necessary, worming, microchip, 30 days of free pet insurance and phone/email support from our dog trainer and discounted rates on any training scheduled with our dog
**We DO require that ALL dogs and cats in your household are spayed or neutered, kept up-to-date on vaccines and that they are seen annually for a check-up. **We do NOT require a fenced in yard unless otherwise noted for a specific pet. **We do NOT SHIP animals. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets and live outside of our area, you will be required to come meet and adopt the animal in person if your application is approved. **We do NOT adopt to anyone under 25 years old. **ALL APPLICANTS MUST GO THROUGH OUR ENTIRE ADOPTION APPLICATION PROCESS - WE DO NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
