Facts about Dublin (Cool Bu Moon)

  • Breed: Thoroughbred
  • Color: Bay
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10721923

Cool Bu Moon (Barn Named "Dublin") raced slowly 6 times in his career--coming in dead last 3 times, and a miraculous first place only once.  He likes the slower, easy life.  What he loves is people.

After the Track, Dublin went to a steeplechase jockey who planned to race him over fences, but the retraining portion of that goal was not done fully, and so Dublin ended up unwanted, and without any discipline training other than racing.  Thankfully he found himself at Safe Harbor where a new career awaits.

Dublin is currently in retraining.  He stayed calm, sane, and gentle after a full 30 day stall rest for hoofcare, adapted easily to returning to the herd, and was an incredible gentleman throughout a rehab experience that would challenge most horses.  Back under saddle now, he is eager, willing, collects naturally, and has an extraordinary floaty trot.  He moves like a $50,000 plus Warmblood and is only going to get nicer as he builds muscle.  This horse is really quite extraordinary.  His adoption fee is set at a very reasonable $3,000.

Safe Harbor Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non profit rescue based in Middle Tennessee. Please visit our website for our adoption application, and to read more about us (including our adoption area) on our About Adopting FAQ. www.safeharborsanctuary.org.

About Safe Harbor Equine and Livestock Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a dedicated team or horsemen (and horsewomen) who are seeking to fill the void for those horses that have no alternatives. Our Mission is as follows:

1) To be first responders and a resource to horses and livestock in cases of abuse and neglect. To provide those animals a safe harbor sanctuary where they will be treated with diginity and love as they prepare for new lifelong home.

2) To serve at risk and medically fragile children, as well as recovering veterans through structured equine experience opportunities.

3) To become a resource to low income families, unable to continue to care for their equine and livestock animals; providing food assistance when possible, or offering rescue rehoming services when possible.
