Cajun's Story...

Cajun is a 13 1/2 year old Toy Min Pin who just arrived to our rescue.  He had a sad few months where he spent time living in a car with his owner as she lost her housing.    Cajun is looking for a 'retirement home' where he can spend his senior years in a relaxed home, getting lots of 'human time' i.e. sitting with his person while they read, watch movies and so on).  He likes a good nap but also enjoys getting outside for a quick walk or play with his small toys.

Cajun grew-up with kids and other dogs around and has never had a problem interacting with them.  He did have disc surgery a few years back causing stairs to be difficult at times.  He has been with us for a very short time but appears to not have accidents (we keep him on a schedule) and he likes his crate.  He is an old sweet man that needs a relaxing retirement home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cajun, a Huntington Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Huntington, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
