Maissie's Story...

COURTESY POSTING - PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR CONTACT INFORMATION:  Maisie is a 2 yr old spayed female 55 lb Fawn Great Dane Mix. Maisie is great with other dogs, sweet and gentle. She is very well behaved in the house and a 'ready made dog'. She adores people, and just aims to please, this girl loves to snuggle and just hang out. Maisie seems to be crate and housetrained, and has good house manners. She hasn't had any formal training so she of course would benefit from that! Her foster mom just thinks the world of her. A great pooch looking for her forever home that loves relaxed dogs!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maissie, a Huntington Great Dane/Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Shar Pei for sale in Huntington, or seeking a Great Dane/Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Shar Pei breeders who help with Great Dane/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
