A Natural Snuggler!

Rain is an affectionate, cuddly lap cat ... and all kinds of adorable! She loves snuggles, being held, and has a sweet purr that she uses often. This little gal is playful and alert; when she's not snuggling or enjoying cuddles, she's probably climbing to the top of her cat tree or soaking up the sun in her window seat. She's a creative cat, too. She has a knack for finding unlikely places to lounge -- like on top of the TV or even on top of the stereo speakers! Rain is a smidge on the independent side and also enjoys alone time to explore, nap, and play. (She loves to carry her toys around in her mouth. It's crazy cute.) Rain is in a foster home with large dogs, cats, and kittens. So, she is incredibly well-socialized and accustomed to a hopping house. Sounds like a perfect cat, right? You must meet her!

About St. Francis Animal Protection Society

About Our Rescue Group...

A Northern California nonprofit founded in 1971, St. Francis Animal Protection Society (SFAPS) is there for at-risk animals -- from shelter pets and strays to cat colonies and animals who need a new place to call home. We advocate, educate, and rescue.

As a community-run organization, our work is funded entirely through charitable donations. We focus on dogs and cats at highest risk, regardless of age, breed, or medical condition. And we do what it takes at all costs -- whether that means medical testing, treatment, and training or compassion, care, and companionship. Because we believe every animal deserves to live a happy, healthy life.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We don't have a physical facility -- all our adoptable animals are living the good life in foster homes with people to pamper them until they make a love connection.

Our Adoption Process...

Are you interested in making a St. Francis animal a part of the family?

Great! Submit an inquiry and we'll touch base within 24 hours to discuss your interest. If it's a good match, we'll set up a meet and greet and have you fill out an adoption application. Then, if it's love at first sight, we'll finalize the adoption with a signed agreement and adoption fee.

We may require a home check as part of the adoption process.

All our adoption fees are tax deductible, and include the cost of spay/neuter, microchipping, and vaccinations:

Kittens under 6 months old - $150 (2 kittens for $250)
Cats - $100
Dogs - $250
Puppies under 6 months old - $350
