This is Michaela, named after St. Michael. She miraculously showed up at the steps of a church and a wonderful Good Samaritan who worked there has been trying to help her. She has dogs of her own so can't take her home so Michaela is currently in Roxbury at an Animal Hospital where she will only be kept temporarily. She seems to be a Pit Bull with a very friendly demeanor, although she seems easily frightened and at times shy.
Michaela was abandoned at the foot of the church and although it was cold and stormy out, she stayed obediently until someone called her in. She doesn't seem aggressive, and although she barks at strangers when she first meets them, she will come around. Aside from being abandoned, it seems that she also has an ACL tear and has recently had puppies. The people at the church are trying to find this dog a good home and are willing to take up a collection for her health issues.
Michaela is NOT with Eleventh Hour Rescue. If you'd like to help this beautiful girl out, please contact Annemarie at email@example.com.
