ABOUT:   'Ryder Ranger'

Calling all Beagle lovers -- You know who you are! Do you adore the “beagley” ways? Do you love a good snuggle? Are you looking for a calm, all around low energy companion? … Look no further!

Ry Guy is a Beagle that lived a life he did not deserve.  He likely didn’t even have a name.  He was dumped in the rural West VA countryside and ended up in a high kill shelter.  Fortunate for him, the volunteer group that works with the shelter saw his potential and granted him his first break by pulling him from the very uncertain future at the shelter.

Ry's second break came when he was pulled into foster care by Rogers’ Rescues.  He lives there as part of his foster family.  Ryder absolutely adores children. He will crawl into their lap or cuddle up next to them as close as possible.  He is a rather low energy dog, requiring only short walks and minimal exercise.

Ryder sleeps quietly in his crate at night and usually needs to be woken up in the morning.  Ryder is good with low energy dogs.

Ryder would prefer a family where someone is around most of the time.  He can be vocal about this request.  For this reason he would not be suited well for an apartment life.  Ryder is crated in his foster home due to the set-up, and has no issue when not crated.

Ry is neutered, up to date on all his shots and preventatives. He has a full vet record including a complete dental. Ryder is housebroken when on a schedule, and would do best with consistency for a transition period.

We would love the opportunity to talk to you about little Ryder.  This Beagle fella deserves to finish his journey with a ride to his forever family. He would be a great family dog and companion – could you be that family?

Our dogs are all fostered in private homes, and all adopters must go through our screening process before being put in contact with the foster family.  By responding to our email inquiries quickly, you can help speed up the approval process!

About Rogers' Rescues

About Our Rescue Group...

Rogers' Rescues is an all-breed dog rescue that relies on our network of foster homes to care for all our adoptable dogs. In addition, committed volunteers work behind the scenes to facilitate the adoption process, plan fundraising events, and more.

Despite not having a physical location, Rogers’ Rescues has found loving homes for over a thousand dogs since its founding in June, 2002.

All our fosters are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm preventative, flea and tick preventative, and are spayed or neutered. Puppies under six months are not spayed or neutered and it is the responsibility of the adopter to have the dog altered at six months of age.
