My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SWEETEST LITTER EVER!!! Oh my gosh…these kittens are sooooo sweet! They absolutely LOVE one another, purr any time you talk to them or pick them up, and LOVE to play with each other! The kittens all come running when called, no hiding for this bunch. The only time they don’t come is if they are snoozing somewhere, in a deep sleep.

There are 6 kittens in this litter. Their mama has already been adopted to a wonderful family, and now the babies are waiting for their forever homes! The mama cat and babies were rescued from a high-kill shelter in southern Illinois. It just broke our hearts to see this family in danger, so we just had to rescue them. These kittens have brought nothing but pure joy to their foster home! We aren’t kidding when we say there is just something extra special about these babies…they will ALL melt your heart!

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Kittens really need a playmate in their forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our Pick A Pair page to see if one of Lukey’s siblings are still available.

If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we will consider adopting out a kitten older than 4 months. Each foster home knows the kitten’s personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements.

Starting 10/24/16, you can meet Lukey at Wilmette Pet, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
Lukey’s estimated date of birth is 8/16/16. His adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.
