(6/24/08) My name is Oscar (or Blackie) and was found on a major, busy highway in Arkansas as a puppy, probably about 3-4 months old. Someone was kind enough to stop and save me so I wouldn't get hit. I am about a year old and am a high energy fellow. I love everybody and love to play. I would really love to find forever home soon where I could be a part of a family and have someone to run and play with. Will you consider making me a part of your family? I can repay you with lots of love and fun. Adoption fee is required which includes my vaccinations, neutering, and rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Newington Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Newington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Newington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newington paves the way for another one to be saved.
