Bill's Story...
We're not sure why Bill is one of our longest term dogs who has been here at HSSC since May. Bill is one of our forgotten angels who came from an overcrowded shelter in Miami. He's a handsome brindle boy weighing in at 52lbs and would love an active home that could take him running and keep up with his youthful energy. Bill loves other dogs and would be very happy in a home with another dog his size to play with but would prefer a home with no cats. At 3 1/2 years old, Bill has plenty of time to grow and bond with his new family and is eager for direction and training. Will you be the family to give Bill a second chance? He's an amazing boy and deserves a good home where he can live out a happy and spoiled life. Come in and meet Bill and you'll see for yourself why we think Bill is such a star!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bill, a Sarasota Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
