My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duelie is fostered in Martinsburg WV through United Yorkie Rescue http://www.unitedyorkierescue.org.
Duelie is a 5 yr. old, 10lb. boy who happens to be blind. He came to United Yorkie Rescue in October 2016, with his sister Paris, an 8 year old, 8lb. Yorkie girl, after their mom lost her home and could no longer keep her babies. His mom had rescued him from euthanasia three years ago from a local shelter. He must have been dearly loved because he has been a perfectly happy boy from the start.
Duelie loves car rides, walks, exploring, and especially loves people. All he wants to do is snuggle and look your way with an infectious smile. He is house trained, crate trained, and due to his blindness, is totally in tune with his foster mom. Whether it's sit, stay, come, move over here, get on my lap, Duelie gets it, he’s amazing.
The vet feels he can see some contrast that helps him get around very well and have no fear of his surroundings. He’s in perfect health and seems friendly to all animals, but definitely prefers his foster family. Duelie is going to be a perfect addition to one very lucky family.
It would benefit Duelie to have another dog in the home that he can connect with, but is not required. Maybe you have the heart to take Duelie and his sister??? Smaller dogs and older children preferred, due to Duelie’s sight issues, would be best. Please check back for a pictures and updates on this boy!
