Otis's Story...
Otis is an OG from HSSC when we picked him up from Manatee County Animal Services as a pup when they became overcrowded. He was adopted shortly after arriving at HSSC but has been recently returned by the owners when they had to move out of state. Otis is a fun loving Pit Bull mix who loves to play and has lots of energy. At 58lbs and a little over a year and a half old, he still has plenty of spunk but is past the stubborn puppy stage. This big guy needs a big yard and a family that is willing to provide lots of exercise; perfect for the daily jogger. Come meet Mr. Otis today! He's here waiting for you with lots of kisses.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otis, a Sarasota Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
