Winter's Story...
Winter has been at Sarasota County Animal Services for several months and when they became low on space HSSC took her under our wing. Miss Winter is a 51lb ball of fun and loves to run and play in the yard. At the young age of 4, this Pit Bull mix still has puppy energy and would love a home with a big yard or someone that could take her jogging every day. She loves that typical Pit Bull wrestling and rough-housing, so she may be too much for a home with small dogs or cats; but would love a big dog her size to play with. Meet Winter today! She's waiting for you with lots of hugs and kisses.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winter, a Sarasota Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
