Abigail's Story...
Abigail is a beautiful 5 year old cat who is looking for an indoor only home. She loves everyone that she meets and follows you around begging for love. She gets along with other nice cats but is scared of large, boisterous dogs, even if they ignore her. She could live with a large, VERY calm dog or respectful smaller dogs. She also would be fine with respectful kids. If you're interested in meeting this sweet girl please fill our Statement Of Interest at alternativehumanesociety.com The SOI is geared towards dogs so some of the answers may be "Not applicable"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abigail, a Bellingham Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
