Elsa's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Elsa's Story...
Elsa was surrendered by her owner who tossed her in our volunteer’s car. Poor Elsa had been ignored and unloved by her previous owner. Considering her terrible past, she is one sweetheart of a dog. Elsa is about 3 years of age and has an all black coat of semi curly hair. She currently weighs 10 lbs which is a good adult weight for her. Although her owner said she was a Maltese, her exact breed is not known. Elsa is very fearful of men and easily frightened by loud noises and sudden movement near her head. She acts very much like a dog that has been physically abused. Once Elsa feels secure, she has a sweet personality and thoroughly enjoys gentle caresses and kind words. She would do best in a calm home with a woman. Now all Elsa needs is a caring person to share her affection.

You can meet Elsa this SATURDAY, Nov. 26th at UNLEASHED BY PETCO, 10625 Scripps Poway Parkway, San Diego, CA 92131 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elsa, a San Diego Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
