Little Hitchhikers's Story...
The Little Hitchhikers - This group of 7 was only 10-weeks old when they found themselves in the middle of the danger zone (a high-kill shelter). They knew they had to get outta town fast, or face certain euthanasia, so they thumbed a ride with Lucky Lab to Paradise (a.k.a. their foster mom’s house). These puppies appear to be purebred or very high mix Labs, just take a look at their big, blocky heads and great stocky bodies.

Even though they are safe now, they have big dreams of making it to see the rest of the country with their new forever families. There is Texas (but you can call him Tex), Washington (he’s a born leader), and the 5 ladies Virginia, Georgia, Dakota, Carolina, and Jersey! If you think that you can help one of these pups to see the world, OR at least your own house and warm bed, then apply to adopt them today, because they won’t last long!

All puppies will have had two rounds of puppy vaccinations and will be ready for their next adventure (aka their new home) on September 27. If you are interested in adopting one of these wonderful puppies, please complete our online adoption application and request them in the notes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Hitchhikers, a Salem Labradoodle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labradoodle for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labradoodle puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labradoodle breeders who help with Labradoodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
