Bear Lee's Story...
In this photo, Bear Lee was getting ready to go meet the pack here at the rescue! He was very excited. We were pretty sure he would do great but we like to introduce with a leash, just in case. Bear Lee did great! He likes to play and we have to get him to take it easy sometimes because he gets so excited. He loves playing with Zoey, the sheltie. Bear Lee loves people and greets everyone that comes in. We are working on him not jumping on people. Bear Lee came to Second Chance after living on a farm. He just would not stopping chasing the chickens and the cows. So...if you don't have chickens or cows, Bear Lee could be the dog for you! He is leash trained and is doing great with housetraining.

Bear Lee is a 1 year old Patterdale terrier mix. The previous owner believes his papa might be a collie but they are not sure. Bear Lee is taller than a full Patterdale but has the other characteristics. Bear Lee's adoption fee is $225.00. If you are interested in adopting Bear Lee, please complete the adoption application at http://www.secondchancedogrescueofiowa.com Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear Lee, a Prole Patterdale Terrier (Fell Terrier)/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Patterdale Terrier (Fell Terrier)/Collie for sale in Prole, or seeking a Patterdale Terrier (Fell Terrier)/Collie dog from a breeder in Prole.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Prole already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Prole breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Patterdale Terrier (Fell Terrier)/Collie breeders who help with Patterdale Terrier (Fell Terrier)/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Prole paves the way for another one to be saved.
