Trooper (because he's a trooper!) is an 8 year old beagle boy, not more than 20 pounds. He was recently rescued from a Madera County shelter. He had a hernia that was preventing him from defecating. He also needed dental care. A shelter volunteer called in a big favor to get him medical care, and a vet got him fixed up. We need to raise $500 to partially cover the costs...hernia repair, neuter and dental. Please consider helping this sweet boy by donating. You'll find a donate button on the left side of our website's home page, towards the top, where there's a big red heart.
He was in a foster but is now at the rescue. We were told he is 8, but it's hard to believe- he looks and acts like a puppy. He is an affectionate and friendly boy who loves meeting people. He has recovered after two weeks and loves to run the perimeter of our dog park. He even chases balls sometimes. Does well in a car. He can be a little pushy with other dogs.

For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section where very thorough instructions await. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, micorchipped, and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.
The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs! No more weekend mobiles—only special events. Maybe if there are enuff appointments, we could see you in El Monte or Orange County or nearby. Email your application and ask for more details!
Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!
