Facts about Charlie

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10728834
  • Hair: Short

I’m one of the sweetest tabby cats you’ll ever meet!  I have handsome black, gray, and brown in my striped coat with a little white on my face, throat, and all 4 feet and a big black solid stripe down my back!  I’ve been told it’s quite an unusual pattern.  I love attention and long naps – but that could be because we all had the sniffles when we came to foster care and I’ve had a harder time shaking it than the others.  I’m much better now and would love a lap to cuddle up on or a warm spot on the furniture or cat tree!  I’m a pretty quiet guy and I don’t ask for much but I do love my treat of a little bit of wet food once a day.  I’ve been around other cats, seem to be okay with the foster dog (but I’ve been protected by my kennel while getting well), and would probably be okay with older children.  I’m litter trained, would love to continue to be indoor only, and I’m now microchipped.  If you need a snuggle buddy, fill out an app and check me out! I am 12 1/2 years old and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV.

About Second Chance Companions

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 1993, Second Chance Companions is a 501(c) 3 non-profit pet organization dedicated to helping animals in SW Washington and the Portland Metro area.

We are a humane, no-kill organization staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers.

Although we do not run an independent shelter, we feed, care for, adopt out, and spay & neuter as many animals as possible. In addition, we educate the community and are always seeking volunteers and resources that help us to accomplish our mission.

We have a small number of foster homes available, but also work with private owners who keep their pets while looking for homes for them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have cats available for adoption all the time at the Vancouver Plaza and Gresham Petsmarts.

We also have adoption events most every weekend and often during the week too. See all of our currently scheduled events at: http://www.sccpets.com/pages/events.html
