“Are they gonna like me? Oh, … I’m worried they’re not gonna like me. Do you think they’ll want to adopt me?”

Precious Trent is feeling a little insecure about getting ‘chosen’ like so many of his OAR roomies have been. Trent was rescued from a colony in the Kennedy Heights area; after neutering, it just was not a good option to return him there. So, Trent is now at OAR building up his courage day-by-day because he really, really, really wants a loving, forever home where he never has to be afraid again. Trent is the ‘purr’fect example of a gorgeous all-black kitty; something everyone should have the joy of sharing in their home. Still a tad shy, Trent wants SO badly to be loved. He enjoys petting and tummy rubs, and will give your hand a head butt showing his pleasure of you giving him attention and caring. He will even roll over for those soft circular pets. Want to feel good? Why not make a point to meet Trent, and we are pretty sure your heart will skip a beat with how precious this young boy is. He will complete you.

Male/Domestic Short Hair/Black.
DOB: ~3/15/16.
Neutered/House-Trained/Up-to-Date on Vaccinations.

Our Adoption Process...

We have many cats and kittens looking for wonderful homes! All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and microchipped. Adoption fee is $50. Because we like for our cats to go home in pairs, we have a standing 2 for 1 adoption special -- you can adopt 2 cats for one fee of $50.

Meet some of our cats and kittens, and fill out an application today! An OAR representative will get in touch with you to discuss your application. We do require a phone screening before an adoption so if you are coming to visit the cats and hope to take a cat or kitten home that day, fill out and submit the application at least a day beforehand so we can pre-approve your adoption.

As of 3/7/12, our adoption policy requires that the adopters of our cats not declaw the cats, no matter what the cat's age. We will, with our adoption counselors' help, provide potential adopters with information on alternatives to declawing. We also sometimes have previously declawed cats up for adoption. These can be a good alternative for adopters who are adamant about declawing.
