Johnny came to rescue from our local shelter. He is a young active boy that needs continued training to be the great companion he is meant to be! Johnny has a moderately high energy level but is an eager student and has a great deal of potential for the active family! For specific information please visit the adoption tab on our website, wawr.org. The adoption fee includes alteration, age appropriate vaccines, worming, flea treatment, microchip, and 30 days of pet insurance.
Our adoption process requires that an application must first be submitted and approved prior to meeting any of our pets. This can be done online, via email or at our adoption center. The application can be downloaded from our website at www.wawr.org.
All animals listed for adoption have been altered and are able to go home same day if all goes well. While many reside at our adoption center, others remain in foster homes. Please remember, children and other dogs are required to attend the meet and greet. If you are renting, a copy of your rental agreement or lease is required.
If you have specific questions, please email info@wawr.org and reference the pet by name (not by number).

About Wags and Whiskers Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Time has taught us recycled pets are simply pets with some experience that need to adapt to new and appropriate living situations. Having transported, fostered and adopted shelter pets, we see the reality of overpopulation and misguided expectations. Often these pets are abandoned through no fault of their own. A puppy grows up, people get married or divorced, children are born or go off to college, and, sadly, economic factors are just some of the reasons we have seen for abandonment of a once loved family member. Coming from a home, the environment of a shelter can be shocking, and a shelter assessment faulty. Fear can be misinterpreted. Lack of exercise can cause a dog to display behavior that is inappropriate. Undiagnosed physical conditions can give a false impression of some behaviors. These pets simply need to be brought back into a home environment and practice living skills.
