Buddy's Story...
Name: Buddy
Breed: Shepherd mix
Age: Senior
Gender: Male

Buddy is an 8 years young medium size mixed breed, possibly Shepherd mix, who about as close to the perfect dog as you can find. He is extremely respectful and friendly with other dogs of all sizes, ignores the cats, good with kids. He is house trained and not a chewer, stays off furniture. This gentleman loses all dignity though when it comes to belly rub time, then he's on his back with a huge grin for as long as the attention lasts. This sweet southern boy (originally from KY) had a rough past with untreated ear infections that went so long he required surgery to hear again, and treatment for heartworm. He is past the bad news times and ready to go share the rest of his life with a family who will adore him as much as he will adore them back.

Requirements: No special requirements

You can email sdaley001@msn.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Minneapolis Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
