Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Murphy.

Murphy is an adorable boy. He's about 60 lb and 14 months old. He is a handsome toasted marshmallow colored retriever mix.

He is housebroken and knows the words “sit” and “no”. He can play fetch and tug of war. Murphy's not the biggest fan of kennels, but his foster mom puts a blanket over it so he knows it’s time to be quiet-- Murphy just really wants to be with people.

He likes other dogs, but ah, well the cat at his foster's house may look more like a squeaky toy to him-- so cats maybe something to avoid in his forever home, along with geese, or chickens, Murphy says that chickens are more like dinner...

But he LOVES the couch and hanging out with his foster family.

Murphy is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He also has a heart murmur and we can provide you with the cardiologist report. Right now he does not need medication or care for it and just needs to be re-evaluated as he grows older. He's just happy go lucky Murphy!

If you'd like to welcome him into your home and couch please apply at www.luckylabrescue.com

About Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption - TX Austin

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) approved rescue organization whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rates and inhumane treatment of Labrador Retrievers and lab mixes and find them loving forever homes.

Most labs that come into Lucky Lab Rescue are from municipal and county shelters in Texas. Most are at risk of euthanasia, usually due to overcrowded conditions, great dogs, who ended up in a bad spot.

Labs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs due to their loyal and family oriented personalities. Labs are also one of the most overbred breeds and are the number one breed to be found in shelters. They also have one of the highest euthanasia rates. Some find it difficult that rescues can be breed specific, however, Lucky Lab Rescue and other lab rescues make a huge impact on euthanasia rates just by rescuing labs and lab mixes alone.
