Yes, she is as sweet as her pictures look; Leah wants nothing more than to find a home to lay her head and become as loyal to her family as she can possibly be. Leah is approximately 1 year old and is a cattle dog / Lab mix who came to us as an owner surrender because she was chasing cattle. This girl is part cattle dog and herding is in their nature; she just can't help herself so we are hoping to find sweet Leah a home where bovine are non existent. Though we cannot guarantee house training, we can tell you that she keeps her kennel clean and loves to please her human companions. She's good with children, other dogs and inside cats that won't run. Leah is learning how to walk on a leash but she is not very comfortable on it though the more we work with her the easier it will become.

Leah's adoption fee is $100.00 which covers her wellness check, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies shot and spay surgery.
LEAH, Cattle Dog & Labrador Retriever Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Stephens County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Shelter is located at 714 Martin Luther King Ave., Duncan, Oklahoma 73533. Our current hours are:

Monday & Thursday : closed except for intakes
Tuesday & Friday : 12-6
Wednesday & Saturday: 12-4
Sunday: 12-2

We are closed all major Holidays

Our Adoption Process...

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.

We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
agreeable.
