This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded high kill shelters to give them a second chance to find their forever homes. Most of these dogs are mixed breeds and come up with no history. We are unsure of their housebreaking status as well as their feelings towards other animals or children.
Patches was adoptd from us over a year ago as a puppy and recently returned. He is now almost 2 years old. His owner stated he had been having accidents in the home over the past few months. We're not sure what happened but it doesnt seem that he has had much training which we always stress is so important when getting a puppy. He does know a few basic commands like sit and paw. He also growled at the toddler in the home when he tried to take a toy away so a kid-free home would be best. If you are a fan of the beagle breed, and committed to training, please come in to meet Patches today and give him another chance at a forever home.
*Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.
