Facts about Wanda Louise

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Wanda Louise approximately 9 months old. She came to Cause For Paws from another shelter in Iowa. They just had too many cats. When she was examined by the vet, we discovered she had a hole in her diaphragm and her stomach was in her chest. After major surgery, she is now healthy and ready to go. Wanda Louise lLOVES to cuddle and lay on your lap. She likes to be around her person and will follow you around the house. Wanda is not fond of other cats so she would do best in a cat free home. She doesn't mind well behaved dogs. Wanda doesn't mind being picked up or held. She would do well in a quiet home where she can get all the attention.

About Cause for Paws

About Our Rescue Group...

Cause for Paws is a Minnesota nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization founded in 1998. It is a small all-volunteer group of friends who love cats and want to make a difference for cats in our community. The small group's main focus is helping stray and abandoned cats and kittens find loving, permanent homes. Cats are fostered in volunteers' homes; there is no shelter facility. The goal of every Cause for Paws adoption is a home where the cat and the other family members -- both two-legged and four-legged -- will thrive. Prior to adoption, all cats are examined by a veterinarian,
Felv/fiv tested, vaccinated (including rabies and distemper),
spayed or neutered, microchipped and registered, fostered in a volunteer foster home to determine the kitty’s personality, and received treatment for flea/parasite prevention. As funds allow, Cause for Paws also provides spay/neuter assistance for owned cats in the community, through its Cause for Paws Spay/Neuter Subsidy Program. The work of Cause for Paws is funded entirely by donations.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Cause for Paws hosts adoption events at the Petcos in Highland and Roseville. We also have cats available for viewing at the Petco store in Roseville in their in-house adoption kennels. If someone is interested in seeing one of our cats, arrangements can be made to meet this cat at a time other than our scheduled adoption events. Our adoption events are typically held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please see our website for specific dates and locations.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fee for a Cause for Paws cat is $130. There is an adoption application that is completed and reviewed prior to the adoption. This application will ask for a veterinarian reference and we will check this reference prior to an adoption. The application gives us an opportunity to learn more about the potential adopter and whether or not the cat that they are interested in would be a good match. There is also an adoption contract that is completed at the time of the adoption. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, we typically will respond to an inquiry within 24 to 48 hours.
