Live on a farm? Do you have a barn?

My name is Trixie and I'm looking for a barn type setting as a home.  Or an understanding indoor / outdoor home. I would make sure you have less mice and other rodents and would love to perch on lofts during the day and play with pieces of hay. I am extremely low maintenance and just require that my personal space is respected. On occassion I will crave you stroke my back but only when I ask for it.

Trixie is one of quite a few in our system looking for a barn home or an indoor / outdoor safe setting. The personality types are as follows when looking for a barn cat:

Personality of common barn cats

  • Shy
  • To themselves
  • Highly Independent
  • Great Mousers
  • Porch Buddy

I have a barn, why would I want a cat?

  • You have a mouse or small rodent problem and you do not want to use poisons to make your animals sick.
  • You like cats but do not want them in the house
  • You want to save lives. Adopting a barn cat whether it's from a rescue or shelter you are giving them to chance they long for. "Freedom"

Is my barn environment appropriate for barn cat?

  • Lots of safe hiding places to hide from cat predators
  • Access to commercially made cat food (They can't survive on rodents alone)
  • Access to fresh water at all times
  • My barn is warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

What if I fall in love and want them to come inside my actual house one day?

  • We encourage you to love them no matter what personality type they are.  Should you decide to tame, train and work with your barn cat, it's totally normal ;) and we encourage it.

Trixie's adoption fee is $30

  • Spay/Neuter
  • FeLV and FIV testing, guaranteed Negative
  • Age appropriate booster vaccines
  • Rabies vaccine
  • General maintenance such as grooming     and internal/external parasite prevention while in foster care
