My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey guys, my name is Howie and I am a 1 year old Chihuahua/Brussels Griffon mix. I look a little bit like a Chihuahua but I am much taller and I have a curly tail. I am the happiest dog in the world! I should be because one day I was a stray, picked up by Animal Control and was living in the shelter for a week. I couldn’t escape. Then one day the Animal Rescuer, IAR, came for me and I was just I was so happy when they came for me I gave everyone kisses. I have some nicknames: Happy Howie and Houdini Howie. See, because I was a stray I was really skinny. I weighed less than 5 lbs. so I can squeeze thru anything. No fence can keep me in and I can run. I run like the wind but my foster Mom is smart. When I go thru the posts and run she just sits down on the ground and waits for me to come back. She knows I want to give her kisses and that’s what I also like to do – give kisses. Would you like to have a little boy to make you happy, laugh and give you kisses all the time? I can be your little boyfriend. I wouldn’t say I would make a good purse dog because well, I am a boy but how about a backpack dog? I have a friend here in my foster home and even though he’s much bigger than me I get along with him. I am very friendly with other dogs. I am house trained and am not food aggressive. I now weigh 7 lbs. but can still gain a few lbs. – I’m so lucky. My foster Mom is taking such good care of me. When I sit on the couch with her and my playmate she tells me I am such a good boy and I am going to make a family really happy. Maybe my family will have kids or no kids. I think wherever I go, as long as someone loves me forever and makes sure I have a secure fence so that I don’t become a stray again I can be the happiest boy in the world. Please come meet me. Kisses, Howie.
