This pretty lady is Ivana. Ivana is a 4 yr old American Pit/Aussie mix. She was rescued from North Carolina...Hurricane Matthew tragically displaced hundreds of animals and Ivana was to be put down to make room for the animals from the storm. She is fully vetted, but tested positive for Heart Worms (she is undergoing treatment and meds will go with her ). She has been abused and is very shy and timid and it takes a little time for her to warm up. Apparently she has been hit in the face, she flinches when you try to stroke or pet her head. Once she warms up, she is a beautiful butterfly....she turns over for belly rubs and looks at you with the most liquid eyes. This is a precious girl that needs a patient , loving family that will keep her safe. She will need a secure yard and lots and lots of love and reassurance. Please, if you have room in your heart for one that has lived in fear, I know you will be blessed by her love.
