Buddy's Story...
Hello--my name is Buddy. I am a 2 year old male Jack Russell mix. You see, as a pup, I lived with a human who did not have a home. We lived in his car and he did the best he could for me. However, when times got hard, he could no longer care for me and turned me into the shelter. Thankfully the good folks of Lucky Tales rescued me and I have been in a foster home since. Now--about me. I am a special boy--unfortunately as a puppy I had something called "swimmer puppy" and without the right treatment, my legs fused to a point where I can hardly use them. Unfortunately there is no cure for this, except for getting a wheelchair. I do have a wheelchair now, however, I haven't used this consistently yet. I prefer to do things on my own terms. I do have an auto-immune deficiency and therefore I am on a low dose of steroids. It makes me feel better! If you are interested in learning more about me, please send Lucky Tales an email and they will be in touch.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Florence Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Florence, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Florence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Florence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Florence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Florence paves the way for another one to be saved.
