MEET CECILY,

Cecily is a beautiful quiet little kitten who came from a farm in McFarland with her 4 siblings. She has been a puzzle to us at Angel's Wish, because she is not interactive with the other kittens and seems content to stay in a basket and watch the other kittens and stay out of harm's way.

This little girl is very sweet and has some gorgeous green eyes! She is a low energy kitten who was born with some hip problems. She takes Cosequin and a Triglyceride  Omega supplement once daily in her wet food. She get around very well uses her litter box just fine. She avoids wrestling with other kittens and prefers to watch from the sidelines. She avoids having to jump and appears to hurt when she does try jump down from even low heights. She likes other kittens, and likes to be held and petted and getting attention. She is a good girl and would be a good companion to someone. If you would like a kitten that is very laid back and stays out of trouble Cecily is a great kitten. Her extra care is very easy and it keeps her loosened up and feeling pretty good. She has a nice temperament and guess what she won’t be jumping on your counters or furniture unless you put her there. She does love to look out windows and to be in cat trees but needs some help or some kind of adjustments to make it easier for her to get up and down.

All cats/kittens are up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, spayed/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped prior to going to their new homes.

You can visit this cat at the Angel's Wish Adoption Center at 161 Horizon Drive in Verona most weekends (Saturdays from 10am to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm).

About Angel's Wish

About Our Rescue Group...

Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000.

Mission Statement
Angel’s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.

Why are we called Angel's Wish?
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

About the Animals of Angel’s Wish
We divert animals from ever arriving at area shelters, and as space allows, assist rescue groups and shelters. We accept only animals we have space to care for, and euthanize only for severe medical or temperament reasons. Animals stay in their current home or are cared for in volunteer foster homes until adoptive homes are found.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adopt a new furry friend
Our volunteer foster homes get to know their fostered animals well and understand their personalities—allowing us to make great matches between people and pets! Let us know about your family situation, current pets, and the type of pet you are looking for and we can guide you to animals that would be a great match.

Our primary adoption site is the Angel’s Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center at 161 Horizon Drive, Suite 106 in Verona-just a few minutes from Madison. Visit adoptable animals, and get acquainted in private visiting rooms. Open hours are Saturdays 10am to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm.

We also hold weekly adoptions on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm at Petsmart East in Madison at 2216 East Springs Drive.

Stop by a regularly scheduled or special “mobile” adoption event at locations throughout Dane, Jefferson, and Rock counties. Please see our website to see where the pets will be next!

Our Adoption Process...

Before any Angel’s Wish animal is placed in a new home, he or she is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and treated for parasites and any known medical concerns. Cats are tested for FeLV/FIV; dogs are tested for heartworm and are microchipped. Upon adoption, all animals are eligible for one month of complimentary ShelterCare Pet Insurance. Cats adopted at the Angel's Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center also go home with a goodie bag, a coupon for a free nail trim, and a $5 off coupon for microchipping. 100% of adoption fees are applied to animal medical care.

An application, adoption fee, and contract is required.
