5 Jan 2017 - Lady Bug is 2.5 years old an 34 pounds. She is a little shy-good with dogs BUT needs slow intro's, Bull terrier/basenji mix. Lady Bug is great. She warms up quickly she is sweet and loving. She rests her head or paw on my lap when we watch tv. She wags her tail when she hears my voice. No food guarding- I can put my hand I her food and take anything away form her. She is not destructive. She wants to be chased and is very playful. She barks if she hears someone by the house and then quiets down. She is fearful of strangers. She seems to meet people better on the street then in the house. She does pull on the leash and wants to chase squirrels. She is very lovable but needs patience. She needs an adopter that can exercise her frequently. She would benefit from a hiker or runner or maybe a large fenced yard. Older children woul d be ok. She takes a while to warm up to new people but is very affectionate once she does. She greets people outside nicely but barks when they first come into the home. She is housebroken.
