Conrad is a stocky bully who looks like a Ca de Bou dog with a lot of passion, anytime he is around people he is very much a wiggly stout ball of bully love. He is around 2 years old, not quite 2 feet tall and weighs around 60 lbs. He was dumped at Fort Worth Animal Control all chewed up. He was obviously not loved and probably used as a bait dog or was allowed to get in a terrible dog fight.
Conrad is a very strong dog but a very loving and sweet dog around all humans but, you always need to be aware of his strength. He is capable of interacting with other dogs, as far as companions go, he interacts well with playful females but he can confuse very hard play with aggression and a fight may ensue. He keeps his guard up around males, I am sure this is because he is still being influenced by his past life of abuse. He has gotten on one fight with a female he plays very hard while in our care, a redirected fight as they both were chasing other dogs on the other side of the playpen fence, but he is definitely able and capable of defending himself. That defense may go very wrong if he's not introduced to an environment properly or if he is over stimulated by barking dogs. He has been to the dog park and interacts well with females and young dogs he doesn't feel threatened by.
Conrad is up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and in excellent health. If you like to foster or adopt Conrad and provide a Forever Home for him, call or text Lauren at 214-914-7368 or Miguel at 817-798-8416.
