Ginger's Story...
Hi, my name is Ginger and I am a beautiful calico girl. I have had a rocky start and am a bit of a shy girl at first, but I think I am now ready to take that chance and find my forever home. I was dumped at a Walmart garden center pregnant and expecting any day. Thankfully I was rescued and allowed to raise my kittens in a safe home. My personality shines through when I feel comfortable in a quiet environment. I will come to you for affection and cuddle with you on your lap. I also love to play and and now that my own kittens have all been adopted, I am totally enjoying my chance to be a kitten myself. I am hoping for a special person that will be patient with me and let me come to them, maybe in a home where I can be the queen bee and have all the attention for myself. Do you think that you are that person?

Please apply online and ask all about me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
