Elmore's Story...
Hi, my name is Elmore and I am a unusual buff colored kitty about 5 months old. I was born to a stray mom who sadly did not make it and left her 6 kittens to fend for themselves. We were rescued from a harsh life on streets. I am shy initially in new situations, but when I get to know you and am comfortable with my surroundings, I am the biggest lovebug. I will come up to you to be petted and will place my front paws on your chest, purring and rubbing my nose against your cheek. My foster mom says I am a lap kitty and often snuggles with her at night. I am very sad because all my siblings have been adopted and I am still waiting for my furever home. I would really like to find someone who will be patient and let me come to you. Please bring me home and I will love you forever.
Please apply online and ask about me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elmore, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
