PETEY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!

Name:  Petey
Approx Age:  6 months as of October 2016!
Currently Living at:   Foster

Hi I'm Petey! I am so excited about meeting my new Forever Family - will it be you??

Petey would love to find an active and fun person or family who is/are game for daytime adventures and afternoon/evening snuggles. In his current foster home, he lives with 3 large dogs, 2 cats and adult humans. He is friendly with all animals in the home, but sometimes needs reminders that cats don’t play like dogs and sometimes the big dogs don’t want their ears chewed. He is an A+ snuggler and loves to be with his people. When he sees young children out and about, he is your typical friendly, excited puppy as they held out their hands for him to smell and lick. He is crate trained and doing very well with house training, as long as he is taken out for regular potty breaks. He rarely barks, readily shares his toys with other dogs and does not resource guard his food. He is making progress toward walking well on the leash and learning the commands: sit, down, drop it, stay, come, heel and paw/shake. He is working hard to remember his manners when he is excited, learning to keep all 4 paws on the ground and mouth off the leash/people’s hands, but sometimes he forgets, he is still a puppy after all!

Just remember, I am an active pup in my early years and will need continued housetraining so i f you work a 9 to 5 job outside the home,  I may not be best fit and if you want to adopt me you will need to provide proof of a dog walker to come visit me while you are gone.  This is due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom breaks.   Petey is neutered.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ME?!    My adoption fee is $425.       â€‹

Our dogs receive routine vetting: DAPPv, Bordetella, Rabies, Worming, Microchip and additional vetting as necessary.  Our adoption fee helps us over these costs as much as possible.  If you are interested in adopting any of our wonderful dogs, please fill out our ADOPTION APPLICATION or visit www.newloveanimalrescue.org/adoptme

About New Love Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission: New Love Animal Rescue is dedicated to finding homes for animals in need. We focus on dogs from high-kill shelters, abandoned, our community outreach program aiding in craigslist rehoming ads and owners who can no longer care for them that need help. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians and trainers we are able to provide them with loving care to prepare them for a life of new love. We aim to support our community and carefully screen for new forever homes. We also aim to educate our community by providing information on responsible pet ownership, adopting the right dog, importance of spay and neuter, positive reinforcement training, good nutrition, dangers of craigslist and the understanding that it is not always feasible to keep a pet in their current home. We aim to find the right placement for a lifeline commitment, a new love.
