Mr. Jitters's Story...
Mr. Jitters is a young kitty, about 2-3 years old, that made an amazing transformation! Initially trapped as a TNR after he hung around our Founder's home for a few years, and one day while giving him treats, she was able to pet him. As soon as she touched him, he couldn't get enough! In that moment, he learned to trust, and she picked him up and brought him inside! You might think he would be skittish or jumpy...but NO! Mr. Jitters is good with cats, getting used to the dogs, great with the kids (LOVES them) and is a big baby that loves cuddles and hugs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Jitters, a North Haledon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Haledon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in North Haledon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Haledon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Haledon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Haledon paves the way for another one to be saved.
