I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Louie's Story...
Louie is a 1.5 year old / 78 lb Lab mix in foster care in Victoria BC. Although this big happy boy gets along quite well with other dogs, he prefers to be the only pet. A cuddly boy, he enjoys a good snuggle after long walks or nice hikes. He also is always up to enjoy a game of fetch! Louie will be best suited for an active family with older children (12+) who want a doggy companion for outings and at home.  Louie is receiving free transition boarding by Pet Pampering, an alternative boarding and daycare on the Stanch Peninsula.  Where social dogs have too much fun!  If you are interested in adopting Louie, please email info.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Nanaimo Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Nanaimo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Nanaimo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nanaimo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nanaimo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nanaimo paves the way for another one to be saved.
