  • Breed: Border Collie/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) Mix
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10734121

Merlin is approximately 9 months old, 14 pounds of cuteness, and is a border collie/terrier mix.  He does great with kids and cats.

He is the sweetest boy that had a rough start to life.  He was found on the side of the road with a broken leg and x-rays show multiple BB pellets inside him.  Despite his rough start to life, he is not fearful and loves anyone that will stop and pet him.  Merlin does not like to sit in your lap; however, he wants to be right next to you constantly.  He would do best in a home where he is not left alone for hours at a time, and he would love another dog brother or sister.  He is with his foster's lab constantly.  Merlin does not yet do well in a crate and is still working on his potty manners, but he will go days at a time without a single accident.  He is still a puppy, so he needs chew toys.  He will fit right in with 2 legged or 4 legged friend.

Please submit the application to adopt at www.codysfriendsrescue.com/adopt
His adoption fee is $250 and covers the vet check, vaccinations, microchip and neuter.

About Cody's Friends Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. Upon request, they are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $200 to $250 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $300 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.
** Please note that I do not usually adopt out my dogs with children under four years of age.
