Jewel's Story...
A Gem named Jewel is what you'll find when you adopt this beautiful girl. Jewel is a pitbull mix that was scheduled to die in a local shelter, when HSUC pulled her. She is currently in a foster home with 2 other large dogs, 1 small dog, and 4 children and loves the whole family. Jewel has also met many other dogs and gets along with everyone. She walks well on a leash, and is house trained. Loves playing in the yard with the family and going to the weekly human soccer games, where she gets lots of attention. Jewel is approximately 2 years old, and weighs 43 pounds. Jewel is UTD on her vaccines, is spayed, and micro-chipped. If your interested in adopting Jewel, fill out an application at www.hs-uc.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jewel, a Monroe Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
