Sporting the happiest grin this side of the Mississippi, Talia is an energetic girl who loves to race around the yard to show off her amazing athleticism. She's a medium-sized, gorgeous 9 month old Retriever mix and a dog who needs playful interaction with her humans. Fetching toys, taking hikes or walks, joy riding in the car, and enjoying other outdoor activities are her ideas for having the most fun. Talia is super smart, head over heels in love with people, and is the perfect fit for the active family.

About Our Shelter...

The Humane Society of Greenwood is a not-for-profit organization committed to the compassionate care and protection of animals.

Our purpose is to give sanctuary to abandoned, abused, and neglected animals, provide education to the public on responsible and humane pet ownership, encourage the public to spay and neuter their pets by providing transport for low cost surgery, and encourage adoptions of those animals placed in our care.

Adoption Center is open Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Our Adoption Process...

Dogs/Puppies - $85 donation, includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies and 6-in-1 distemper vaccinations, heartworm test, deworming, and microchip identification implant and registration.

Cats - $15 donation, includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies and 4-in-1 distemper vaccinations, feline leukemia test and vaccination, deworming, and microchip identification implant and registration.

Kittens (up to one-year) - $50, includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies and 4-in-1 distemper vaccinations, feline leukemia test and vaccination, deworming, and microchip identification implant and registration.

Step 1. Check with your landlord to ensure you are able to have pets on the property. All pet deposits must be paid previous to the adoption.
Step 2. Verify that all current pets are up to date on vaccinations. Rabies verification is required at time of adoption.
Step 3. Complete an Adoption Questionnaire. The information helps both you and us make sure that you adopt the pet that will be the best fit for your life. Completed questionnaires can be emailed to adoption@gwdhumanesociety.org, faxed to (864) 942-8680, or brought by the adoption office in person. Our Adoption Center is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm.
