Abigail's Story...
Born February 2015. Approx. 48 lbs. Abigail is a beautiful boxer mix. Though initially shy, she becomes a devoted friend once she gets to know you. She is house broken and very sad to be at the shelter. She likes toys, belly rubs (once she trusts you) and would be happy as a coach potato. Abby attends Canine Coaching and has developed good leash walking skills. Though she lived with another pup and attends our Saturday Social Park, she prefers to pick her own friends or be an only pet. This girl has soulful eyes and a big heart. Do you have room in your heart for her?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abigail, a San Leon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in San Leon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Leon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Leon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Leon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Leon paves the way for another one to be saved.
