When this lady came to us she was covered in fleas and was so miserable with them that she had numerous places she had scratched herself raw. Maggie is on the mend and hoping to find a home where they will keep her taken care of and flea free. maggie is a 9 year old Domestic short hair who was brought in because she was not good with children though she does not appear to be good with small kids, older children are fine. She is good with other cats but does need to find a home where canine companions are either non-existent or won't bother her. She does not like her space invaded constantly like a dog will do. Maggie is litter box trained and needs to be an inside girl where she can be as close to her human companion as possible.

Maggie's adoption fee is $75.00 which covers her wellness check, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies shot and spay surgery.
MAGGIE, Domestic Short Hair Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Stephens County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Shelter is located at 714 Martin Luther King Ave., Duncan, Oklahoma 73533. Our current hours are:

Monday & Thursday : closed except for intakes
Tuesday & Friday : 12-6
Wednesday & Saturday: 12-4
Sunday: 12-2

We are closed all major Holidays

Our Adoption Process...

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.

We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
agreeable.
