Athena's Info...

I am in need of an experienced adopter.

Athena's Story...
This dog came to us as a stray, she was severely under weight and had been over bred badly. She can be intimidating to people. She is very selective about whom she allows to get close to her. Given the reason we think she has been abuse by a male. If you meet with her approval she is just a mild lap dog and love to play fetch. There will be background checks for the adopter, we do not know how she is with kids or other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Jacksonville Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
