Tootsie Roll's Story...
This dog is ready to travel in December 2016.

Hi my name is Tootsie and I came to the rescue with my sister Taffy. We had another sister but she was adopted. We are told that our dad was a pug mix and our mom was a Chi-weenie. We are so happy to have a chance. We are crate trained and love toys but sometimes I do not like to share. We were living with a friend until we could arrive here at the rescue. I am quick to learn if someone will teach me. Some people say I look like a mini boxer. What do you think?

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tootsie Roll, a Fort Atkinson Pug/Miniature Pinscher puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Pug/Miniature Pinscher puppy from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Pug/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
