Corbin is a quiet and shy 5-6 yo Chihuahua mix who definitely has some of the cat-like qualities found in the Italian Greyhounds and perhaps some Miniature Pinscher thrown in for terrier character and dash. The shelter was a scary nightmare for Corbin, but thank goodness for the shelter's Bashful Buddies program whose volunteers worked with him and suggested he get into rescue asap. What a save! Corbin quickly changed from scared & severely kennel-stressed to a sweet but shy boy who begs his foster family for affection. Corbin, it turns out, knows all about "Leaning" and melts into your arms for cuddles & presses his head on your heart for kisses.
Corbin is good with other little dogs, good on a leash, good with a dog-tolerant cat, and has good house manners. He really wants to be a tunnel-under-the-covers bedmate if you will let him, and excels in being a all-night back-warmer. Because he is timid and shy, Corbin's ideal home will be a quiet predictable home with adults who will check under the blanket before sitting down, and who will initially let him approach and petition them for attention.
Corbin is sweet little guy who gives you his whole heart, and someone is going to get an awesome little loving companion. Corbin is up-to-date on shots, neutered, microchipped and has recently had a dental cleaning. His adoption fee is $250.
All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.
We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.
All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.
Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
