Foxy's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. Meet this pet by contacting Jennifer at bergovoy@cox.net or call 619.660.5067.

Foxy is a Blue Heeler (Australian Shepherd) mix, with gorgeous black and white fur, large black ears, and a big bushy tail. She looks like a fox! As a Blue Heeler mix, she is quite intelligent and active. Foxy is still a puppy (less than one year old) and loves attention. She gets along well with other dogs and tolerates cats. Going to the dog park and on walks are her favorite activities. Because she learns quickly, she already knows how to sit and come and is learning how to fetch and stay.

Once Foxy she feels comfortable, she rolls over on her back, waiting for that belly rub. Ideally, she will go to a small, active family with older children. Foxy was rescued from the streets of TJ and is now in a loving foster home in the La Mesa area.

Foxy is spayed, has her rabies shots, and is a medium-sized dog weighing 35-40 pounds.

If you would like to meet Foxy or would like more information, please contact Jennifer at bergovoy@cox.net or call 619.660.5067.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foxy, a Vista Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Vista, or seeking a Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
