Sophie's Info...

Sophie's Story...
Sophie is a super sweet, 8 month old mix who is 33 pounds. She is almost full grown. SHe is energetic and loves to play. SHe loves other dogs but needs to learn how to play in a calmer manner. She is very smart so would be a great candidate for obedience training. She is good with everyone but due to her energetic nature should be with older children no younger than 10. She becomes very loyal to her people and can be protective in the home and bark when strangers come in however she warms up quickly. West Houston Animal Rescue has an adoption process that includes an application, vet check and home visit. Her adoption fee is $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Houston Boston Terrier/Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/Great Dane for sale in Houston, or seeking a Boston Terrier/Great Dane puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/Great Dane breeders who help with Boston Terrier/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
