2 1/2 yr old Reptar is in need of a new home. He is a sweet boy who weighs 70lbs. Reptar is looking for an owner who is experienced and can be his leader. Although he has done well around children he would do best in a home without kids due to his size and energy. He previously lived in a home with cats and he has also done well with other dogs when properly introduced and supervised. Here is a bit about him from his owners: " He loves to be around humans. He is not much of a cuddler, but he will sit real close to you or on you and wait to be pet. He is a fantastic guard dog and has a loud bark. He barks at the mailman and anyone that comes close to the house. He is great with everyone he meets though. He loves walks and runs, although he gets worn out very fast in hotter weather. He can play fetch, to the extent that he chases the ball but does not bring it directly back. He naps a lot. He loves to sit near our child and wait for scraps. He gets overly excited if he is on a walk and dogs start barking at him from behind their fences or from inside; depending on the dog he may try and bite at his leash or he may ignore it). He is a goofball and his name Reptar suits him perfectly. He is not always food motivated and will sometimes do his own thing, so trying to bribe him with with food to do things does not always work. He is a happy dog and loves watching things whether they be his humans, people outside, and bumblebees flying overhead. He went through the Off leash K-9 program in Woodbridge, VA. He knows come, sit, heel, lay, speak, give (an object in his mouth), break (from a seated or still position. He waits for his food until released), high five, kisses (will lick face or hand, whatever is motioned for), and place (stepping up onto and sitting on an object such as a table, bench, or other elevated surface). He knows what treats, walks, mom, dad, car ride, and his "friend" (a laser pointer or reflected light which he will start searching for. )"
