Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Karina is an adorable girl and a typical puppy. She loves to play but also spends a lot of time napping. She likes our resident dogs and is great with our kids ages 9 and 6. Karina is a young puppy and not yet house trained. She sleeps on a dog bed in an x-pen in our living room. She whines for a few minutes when she first goes in but then settles down and sleeps through the night. She also stays in the x-pen when we are not home. She has been left home alone for 2 hours at a time. Karina can jump over the low x-pen so we put baby gates inside to make the barrier a little taller. She loves playing with stuffed dog toys and is happiest near people. She does not mind being picked up by adults or kids. Karina is 4.5 months and 13 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis.If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
